Acting for Film I*
Accessing the heart as the instrument, students learn to create honest, simple and true work in front of the camera..
Pre-requisites: Level 1 Acting or Meisner Technique

Advanced Film Acting*
Focusing on an actor's ownership of a role, given circumstances and the ability to create honest emotional stimuli
Pre-requisites: Acting for Film I and Acting Level II or Meisner Technique

Alexander Technique and the Actor
The Alexander Technique can serve as a powerful catalyst for opening the actor’s instrument to the deepest resources of available responses in the moment of performance.

Audition Technique*
Accessing your impulses to make quick, active and strong choices at the film or theatre audition.(12 hrs.)
Pre-requisites: Level I Acting

Breath and Energy*
Helping to unlock the creative spirit and connect to the text using breath work and Meisner Technique.(10 hrs.)

British Dialects*
Utilizing a phonetic approach to unlocking the dialect within you.

Improvisation+ - core
Accessing impulses is the focus of this class. Students work on spontaneity, active listening and the ability to think on their feet. (30 hrs.)

Irish Dialects*
Utilizing a phonetic approach to unlocking the dialect within you.

Level I Acting+ - core
Establishing vocabulary of objective, obstacle and tactic, and the basic building blocks of the acting process by the use of self by developing flexibility, imagination and sensory awareness. (30 hrs.)

Level II Acting+ - core
Through beginning scene work an exploration and application of beats, objectives, text and scoring. (30 hrs.)
Pre-requisites: Level I Acting

Level III Acting+ - core
Developing the actors response in the moment with emphasis on psycho-physical connection. (30 hrs.)
Pre-requisites: Level II Acting, Voice, Movement, Text Analysis

Level IV Acting+ - core
Focusing on connection, active listening and clear specific active action through intensive scene study. (30 hrs.)
Pre-requisites: Level III Acting, Voice, Movement, Text Analysis

Mask*
Using neutral and character masks, students develop and practice the skill of responding to external stimuli to generate internal impulses and to support those impulses through expanding physical expressiveness. (12 hrs.)

Master Class*
Focus on Meisner Technique with a unique twist, viewpoints, and in-depth moment to moment life.
Pre-requisites: Level III Acting, Voice, Movement, Script Analysis

Meisner Technique*
Utilizing intensive improvisation and the repetition exercise, the fundamental Meisner Technique focuses on simple, honest behavior.

Monologue Development+ - core
Applying objective, obstacle, tactic, beat work and psycho-physical connection, students develop two contrasting pieces.
Pre-requisites: Level II Acting, Voice, Movement, Text Analysis.

Monologue Slam*
Working in a fast-paced high energy class where students "slam" monologues and walk away with three monologues for their audition repertoire.
Pre-requisites: Level II Acting

Movement+ - core
Utilizing methods of Lecoq and Laban to identify, relax and free parts of the body, which habitually hold tension, in order to expand movement and expressiveness. (22.5 hrs.)

Scene Study, Classic American Playwrights
A scene study intensive, focusing on works by classic American playwrights.
Pre-requisites: Level II

Shakespeare+ - core
Focusing on the demands of heightened language, doing scene and monologue work, students examine verse through scansion and application of acting principals working with verse.
Pre-requisites: Level II Acting, Voice, and Text Analysis

Technical Theatre Practicum+
Introducing technical aspects of production in classroom (9hrs.) and laboratory (21 hrs.) settings.

Text Analysis+ - core
Learning to make a script work for you through exploration and application of beats, objectives, units of action, breakdown and scoring. (20 hrs.)

Theatre Appreciation+ - core
Develop skills necessary to think critically about play structure and performance through play attendance and guided class discussions with directors, playwrights, actors, and dramaturges.(30 hrs.)

Theatre History+ - core
Examining the history of acting style and technique, from ancient to modern times, through exploration, discussion, reading, and practicum. (30hrs.)
Pre-requisites: Level II Acting

Theatre Management Practicum+
Introducing Theatre Management aspects of production in classroom (8hrs.) and laboratory (22hrs.)settings.

Voice+ - core
Developing vocal skills in a course based on Linklater Technique from Freeing the Natural Voice. Students make connections with vocal and emotional impulses. Power through breathing and relaxation are explored.

Yoga
develops balance, strength and flexibility through breath and poses (asanas). Find relaxation through meditation.
