SCHOLARSHIP Fund

The Teri McConville Scholarship Fund has been established to assist women over the age of 35 who have the passion to follow their dreams.

Teri McConville was a proud graduate of Portland Actors Conservatory Class of 2001. After many years of marriage, motherhood, and a successful career as a hair stylist, Teri returned to her first love: the stage. Her onstage roles at PAC were Teresa in The Memory of Water and Gertie in Fuddy Meers. Teri served as Assistant Director of Biloxi Blues and Fortinbras at PAC in 2002, and directed Little Red and the Hoods for the Conservatory’s Summer on Stage program. In 2003, Teri’s fundraising efforts helped make possible the remount of A Piece of My Heart, for which she served as Assistant Director and Stage Manager. She was Assistant Director for Two Rooms in 2004, and co-costume designer for several shows at PAC in 2003 and 2004. Other theatrical credits include Ellen in Two Rooms at Sandy Actors Theatre and the matchmaker in Crossing Delancey at Magdelyn Theatre.

After graduation in 2001, Teri became Chair of the Board of Directors at the Portland Actors Conservatory. This was a difficult time for the conservatory, and Teri dedicated her time, energy, and money toward PAC’s survival and eventual triumph. She was a dynamic and dedicated leader whose passion for the programs of the Conservatory inspired all of those around her.

Her untimely passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer left her friends at PAC bereft. We miss her passion, energy and commitment. Most of all, we miss her.
